ISLAMABAD: The CDA Chairman Amer Ali has inspected the restoration work being carried out at Daman-e-Koh Pir Sohawa Road. It has directed to add pruning of trees and remove the wild growth & shrubs along the road. ” There should be no negligence with regard to maintenance of recreational facilities and security arrangements,” the Chairman said.
The Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed for the capital to be restored. He has approved a budget of Rs54 billion to get the work done.
Earlier this week, CDA has taken over four MCI directorates, which include its environment wings – regional, urban & parks, the Directorate of Engineering – Machinery Pool Organisation, market roads and maintenance & streetlights, he Directorate of Water bulk water supply and water and sewerage development, and the Directorate of Sanitation and City Sewerage.
Mr. Mazhar Hussain, the spokesperson for CDA said that the decision to take over these four MCI directorates was made to address the complaints of the residents of Islamabad.
The road maintenance directorate is carrying out patch work and maintenance on Jinnah Avenue, Rehman Plaza and Abbas Center in Blue Area & in F-10 Markaz. With that, installation & painting of curb stones on Daman-i-Koh Pir Sohawa Road, Super Market F-6 and Agha Khan Road has also begun.
